It’s nearly summertime and there are few things that pair better with that summer heat than a cool glass of rosé! We teamed up with photographer Lauren Ross, designer Caroline Diani, and Sunstone Winery to put together this wine tasting day shoot inspired by all things sunny and summery!

Our photo shoot was held at the beautiful Sunstone Villa, overlooking Sunstone Vineyards, in Santa Ynez. We created the shoot with the idea of a casual summer wine tasting day in mind! What is the best outfit to wear, which is the best wine to serve, what is the best snack to provide, and how do you display it all?? We’ve got all of those areas covered!

With stunning pieces from DIANI Boutique, our girls were dressed perfectly for a summer day in sunny Santa Ynez Valley. We stuck to neutrals and whites to keep things fresh and elegant, while using light fabrics to keep everyone comfortable. The girls’ outfits were accented with some major statement pieces and they were set!
TOAST Santa Barbara_0304TOAST Santa Barbara_0305TOAST Santa Barbara_0312 Sunstone Winery has some of our favorite wines ever and what is better to serve on a warm summer day than a crisp glass of rosé?! We kept the wine light, just like the clothing! Chardonnay, Rosé, and Pinot Noir filled the beautiful glassware from DIANI Living and the party started!

We wanted to provide some snacks for our guests that would give them something to nibble on while still being able to walk around the grounds. With beautiful white ceramic plates, antique flatware, and linen napkins all from DIANI Living, guests were invited to sample a beautiful charcuterie display from Seasons Catering. Our best tip with this is to have a range of options for people – choices of meat, fruits and crackers all in different colors to draw in your guests’ eyes (and stomachs!). And how could you leave out the cheese?! Seasons provided an absolutely stunning, three tier, cheese wheel cake for guests to add to their plates.

Lastly, we wanted to tie everything together with some great decor pieces. We used the richness in the colors of the wine to inspire our table and floral design! We used indigo pillows and raw wooden benches from Found Vintage Rentals, while adding a few more indigo touches and accent pieces from DIANI Living. We incorporated blackberries and deep red roses into the flower arrangements to continue the rich, organic theme, while pulling in bright pops with coral peonies! We had Janice Blair calligraph our menu onto a matching piece of stone to bring everything back to the beautiful Villa that we were exploring!

We are so excited to see this stunning white and black wedding at Villa Sevillano featured on Wedding Chicks! Head over to their blog to see the entire feature!

Brian & Katie Cope Wedding Photos PR (221 of 886)

Katie and Brian’s wedding day was a few years in the making. After initially meeting in 2009, it wasn’t until 2014 that Brian popped the question during a helicopter ride through the mountain ranges of Montana.

Having visited Santa Barbara often, Katie and Brian decided on Villa Sevillano, in Carpinteria, just outside Santa Barbara to celebrate their wedding. The elegant estate leant itself perfectly to Katie’s design aesthetic. The formal garden ceremony and reception were interspersed with touches of rustic elegance hinting back to their Montana engagement. Beautiful linens from La Tavola in a mist-grey tone gave nod to the exquisite grey letter pressed and white foiled invitations created by Lazaro Press. Lush floral arrangements in whites and greens complimented the surrounding roses, olive and cypress trees perfectly.

The ceremony itself took place on the lower lawn of the Villa. Dramatic chiffon curtains were pulled back to reveal Katie and her father walking down the path from the house. During cocktail hour in the rose gardens, the curtains were pulled and the lawn was transformed into the dinner reception.beautiful outdoor garden ceremony @weddingchickslittle lantern escort cards @weddingchicks

The curtains were once again pulled back to beckon guests to dinner, unveiling a glowing environment with twinkle lights tucked into the chiffon and even more lights suspended from the olive trees. Guests took their individual lanterns (rustic elegance) used as escort cards to the candle-lit and flower covered tables. Later in the evening, a keg of whisky, driven all the way from Montana by Brian’s parents, was tapped and was enjoyed with cigars in a special part of the garden underneath a twinkling olive tree.

After dancing on the black and white dance floor to the sounds of DJ Amara with Dash Entertainment, the entire party, DJ and all moved inside the estate where an after party continued into the early morning. Guests gathered around the beautiful wooden bar, were treated to late-night pizza complete with a ranch-dressing fountain. In all our years of planning, we have never seen a ranch-dressing fountain. It was quite the hit.

Katie and Brian were a dream to work with. Katie from the beginning had a clear vision of what she wanted to accomplish. She was flexible and realistic during the planning process which made the process run extremely smoothly. More than that, they and their families are kind and warm and they loved celebrating the love between Katie and Brian.

Well, we started the day with red roses and pink peonies and these were just a few of
the beautiful arrangements that were created!

We ended the day with a white wedding bouquet. What better way to celebrate
this day then to get married! We hope your day was full of pretty flowers
and lovely love stories.
Cheers!

And ended with a white wedding bouquet!
